How many e-mails do you send per day? 10? 100? More?
What if you could tell that same number of people exactly what you do, and what you can do to help them; and it didn’t take any extra effort on your part?
The right e-mail signature will do exactly that! It takes just a few moments to setup, and will then automatically share your message with every person to whom you send an e-mail.
What is an e-mail signature?
An e-mail signature is a block of text placed at the end of an e-mail. It typically includes information such as your name, phone number, and website. While you can include anything you want in your e-mail signature, most people don’t go beyond basic contact information.
This is a HUGE missed opportunity.
E-mail signatures can contain anything, including images and links.
The best addition you can make to your e-mail signature is to include Social Media icons. This WILL help drive traffic to your Social Media sites. People, in general, are curious creatures. While most of us won’t go out of our way to see what Social Media presence someone might have, if they tell us “hey, I have a Facebook page, you should check it out”, chances are good that we will head over there to take a quick look, especially if they provide us with the link in an e-mail.
It is also important to include a specific call-to-action in your e-mail signature. Some good examples:

- Check out our free Tacoma home-buyer’s guide.

A good call-to-action will speak directly to the needs of your target customer, and will drive them to your website or Social Media page.
A photo is a nice addition to your e-mail signature, especially for real estate professionals. As a real estate professional, YOU are the brand. You already know the importance of having a good head shot. Include that head shot in every e-mail you send, helping to reinforce your brand and showcase your likeability.
While the setup will be slightly different based on the e-mail client you use (Outlook, Google, etc.), the process can be completed in just a couple of minutes, and will pay dividends for years.
